Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Facilities GrantABOUT
The Arizona Commerce Authority is pleased to partner with Arizona State University, a significant semiconductor influence in the state and nationwide, to offer the Advanced Manufacturing Facilities Grant. The grant employs funding to lower market entry barriers for innovative semiconductor startups.
The funds provide discounted access to ASU's established Core Facilities for semiconductor and hard-materials startup companies that are not current users or users with light facility usage. We will provide a 1:1 match of Core Facility usage (up to $50,000 per company), effectively lowering the financial barrier to entry by half.
ASU's core facilities provide state-of-the-art equipment, specialized services, and expert consultation and training to help solve pressing research challenges and help semiconductor companies on the path to commercialization. The three main facilities focusing on semiconductor applications are Advanced Electronics and Photonics, NanoFab and the Eyring Materials Center.
Grant funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants will be reviewed by a panel of non-partisan judges and scored on the criteria found on the Eligibility & Guidelines page. Please review before applying.
